What's New at FHN

July 21, 2008 - FHN Announces New CEO

As you may have been aware, Julie Boden Schmidt, the Executive Director of Family Health Network took a new position with the National Association of Community Health Centers as of the end of June 2008. Upon notification that she would be leaving Central New York, the FHN Board of Directors began conducting an expeditious, yet thorough search to fill the Executive Director position.

As the Board President, I wanted to personally let you know that the FHN Board of Directors offered Walt Priest the position of President & CEO of FHN, which he has accepted.

Walt previously served as the Director of Operations for Family Health Network, and is a long standing member of the greater Cortland community. Some of his involvement in the community includes serving as a board member for United Way, Catholic Charities, and the JM Murray Center, and is an active member of the Cortland Rotary Club.

We are excited to have Walt on board in a new capacity, and look forward to continuing our collaborating relationship with you as we start a new chapter in the FHN history books.
